We built SourceDirect so buyers and manufacturers can work together directly on on-demand projects, and we add no markup. The data is open, so you and your AI agents can check it yourselves.

What is SourceDirect?
SourceDirect is an open network of Chinese manufacturers for custom parts. Each manufacturer has a structured profile with its processes, equipment, materials, finishes, tolerances and listed certificates, and every fact links to its source.
Who is SourceDirect for?
Engineers, product teams and sourcing managers who need custom parts made to their drawings, from a single prototype to production runs.
What processes can I source?
CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, industrial 3D printing, vacuum casting and injection molding, with finishes such as anodizing, bead blasting, powder coating and plating.
Finding manufacturers & data
How do I find the right manufacturer?
Filter by process, material, finish, industry and must-have requirements, or describe your part in plain language. Results show each manufacturer's matching capabilities with source links.
Can my AI agent use SourceDirect?
Soon. The SourceDirect MCP server is coming soon. It will let your AI assistant search manufacturers and read full profiles with two tools: search_manufacturers and get_manufacturer.
Where does the data come from?
From each manufacturer's own public website and materials. Every field shows its source link. Fields a manufacturer has not published show "Not stated".
What does "listed" mean on a certificate?
"Listed" means the manufacturer states that certificate on its own website. Ask the manufacturer for a copy of the current certificate before you order.
Quotes & ordering
How do I get a quote?
Contact the manufacturer directly and send your drawings. Quotes, lead times and terms come straight from the manufacturer you choose, and you can compare several.
Does SourceDirect add a markup?
No. You agree on price with the manufacturer and pay the manufacturer's company account directly.
Does SourceDirect contact manufacturers or place orders for me?
You stay in control. SourceDirect gives you the data; you choose who to contact and when.
How do I protect my design?
Sign an NDA directly with the manufacturer before you share drawings.
What should I check before I order?
Confirm the manufacturer's equipment, tolerance, inspection report, lead time and payment terms in writing. See the before-you-order checklist.
